Give Me the Mountains!

Caleb’s conversation with Joshua

“I am still as strong today as I was in the day that Moses sent me; my strength now is as my strength was then, for war and for going and coming. So now give me this hill country of which the Lord spoke on that day, for you heard on that day how the Anakim were there, with great fortified cities. It may be that the Lord will be with me, and I shall drive them out just as the Lord said.” – Chapter 14

When I read these words, I relate to them so well today…
I’m not 23, but my strength is still with me.

Let me tell you why…

God is my strength, through His word, the precepts, promises and commands. This is my guide.

There are people that pray for me…daily, by name.
Because of their prayer. I receive my strength.

My brothers and sisters in Christ encourage me… with words and notes and time.

My fellow ministers give me my strength…with support and friendship.

My elders strengthen me…with guidance and direction.

My family gives me strength…with unconditional love.

If you are one those listed above, then you are a source of my strength.

Because of that….Give me the mountain!
