Jerry was born in Munford Alabama and graduated from Talladega Academy in 1978. He received a Bachelors degree in Bible from Freed-Hardeman College in 1983. While there he met his wife Pam and they were married in 1983. He holds a M.A degree in Bible from David Lipscomb University.
He began his first work with the West 7th church of Christ in 1983 and worked with them as their Youth Minister until 2013.
He is now the Youth and Family Minister with the Spring Meadows and has been there since 2013.
He worked at Columbia Academy serving as a Chorus director and coach for 15 years.
He is involved in many works involving young people. He has worked with Maury Christian Camp since 1983 as a co-director and serves on the Board of Directors.
He also works with the Horizons program at Freed-Hardeman where he has served for 37 years.
He also works with the Challenge Youth Conference, Evangelism University and Southern Evangelism Conference and Exposure Youth Camp.
He and Pam have one daughter, Danae.
His passion is working with young people and guiding them to know the Lord better.
