Lord,
Tonight my heart is torn, weary,
People in the world have forgotten who You are.
Oh, they say they love You, but they have forgotten how to love others.
They treat each other with malice, anger and violence.
They haven’t listened to Your words, nor do they care to.
Some say it’s a dream to think we could treat each other with kindness, to think of others before ourselves, even when they disagree.
What if we thought of You….FIRST.
Before we took any action, said something we might regret, or maybe just wrong.
What if we think of YOU!
YOU have always thought of us!
