The Road to Sixty – Day 100
100 days
So much has happened in this first 100 days on this Road to Sixty. A lot of good…some that is sad.
So is life.
What I have found is that faith, family and friends will be there for you and they will encourage you, strengthen you and help you in all times of life.
As I worshipped God today, I was standing in the back singing, before I took my seat. I took the opportunity to look around at my brothers and sisters in Christ, watching their faces, many with smiles. Some I knew were struggling with issues of their own.
They like me, put their trust in the Lord.
An old songs by J.B. Coats comes to my mind…
Living below, in this old sinful world
Hardly a comfort can afford
Striving alone, to face temptation’s sword
Where could I go but to the Lord?
Neighbors are kind, I love them everyone
We get along in sweet accord
But when my soul, needs manner from above
Where could I go but to the Lord?
Life here is grand, with friends I love so dear
Comfort I get from God’s own word
Yet when I face this chilling hand of death
Where could I go but to the Lord?
Where could I go, oh where could I go?
Seeking a refuge for my soul
Needing a friend, to help me in the end
Where could I go, but to the Lord?
So today I praise and give thanks to the Lord, who sees me through ALL measures of life.
I wish everyone would
Till tomorrow
