So today I celebrate another milestone. On this date in 1983 I began full time work in Youth Ministry. Yes, that’s 40 years. God has truly blessed me for being able to stay in a work that I LOVE to do! Oh, things have changed over the years and maybe some day I will sit down and write more. (something like “the Road to Sixty series”)
Here are a couple of things as I reflect on this day.

1. I was young(er). Thankful that an eldership saw potential in me and walked with me as I grew in ministry. Mike, Hardin, Roy, J.W. these elders were the beginning and as three of them have passed from this life, I hear the wisdom and guidance still to this day.
2. My oldest youth group members are 58 years old. yes you heard that right. I was 22 and the Seniors were 18. I had their children in my group. Now I have been blessed to be a part of their grandchildren life.
3. Finally for this post, THANK YOU!. If you are reading this more than likely you are a part of my life. This did not happen by chance. As I have said before ALL areas of my life have been because of Jesus. He made it possible for us to be friends, brothers and sisters.
