The phrase “It takes one to know one” is quite often used in a negative connotation. I believe that it can also be used to prove a positive point.
For example, if we are being a “light to the world” the other lights will recognize this.
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Mt. 5:14
Let the world see your light!
If we are the “Imitator of Christ” then other “imitators” will realize this.
Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children, Eph. 5:1
If we are “servants of the Lord” other servants will gravitate to us.
Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover- up for evil, but living as servants of God. 1 Peter 2:16
The world will know us by our love, by our faith, by our dedication.
So if you want the world to know you as a Christian it is important for you to be one, not just part of the time….All of the time.It
