I’m Here For You,
A statement that is made so many times but can be taken in so many ways.
We hear this mainly in the times of trouble and trials as a response to an individual to convey our concern.
So what are we really saying? Is it just a phrase to get us by? What is the true meaning being presented?
Here are a few thoughts…
1. I’m Here for You IN PRAYER, sharing your trials and troubles to an almighty God who knows how to give comfort in YOUR time of need. 1 Peter 5:6-7 – Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
2. I’m Here for You IN PERSON, I will laugh with you, cry with you, I will be silent, but I am physically here with YOU and for YOU.
Acts 9:39 -And when he arrived, they took him to the upper room. All the widows stood beside him weeping and showing tunics and other garments that Dorcas made while she was with them.
3. I’m Here for You – IN PREPARATION, we will walk through this trial, willing to face whatever will come before YOU. Together.
Proverbs 18:24 – A man of many companions may come to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother
4. I’m Here for You, WHEN I AM NOT…. Because you are my friend, my family, whenever I am not there, I am with you. Absence does not mean that I do not care, that I do not hurt, that I do not share. In fact, these are the things that I do when I cannot be with you.
John 11:35 – Jesus wept.
So when someone says, I’m Here for You, take them at their word. In their own way they are with you.
