To the Mom’s

To the Mom’s

So it’s Mother’s Day a special time. I thought I would write a few things about the Mom’s in my life.

To my Mom…Words cannot express or ever define the feelings or emotions that come around this day. I’m thankful and blessed to still have you as you are in your 87th year of life. You are the reason of my being here, I count it a joy to be your son. You instilled in me both the spiritual and moral values of life itself. I know why that is so. If the world had only knew your Mother (Grandmama) they would see how this has been passed down through the generations. You continue to encourage and care for us your children and grandchildren and even your great-grandchildren. Thank you.

To my wife, the Mother of our only child…

I remember the day you told me you were expecting, the joy, the fear and the excitement. You were and are still a Mom to be modeled after. The strength and resilience that I have seen in you has also been in in your Mother. I am so glad and thankful that you are like her! You have ALWAYS instilled in our daughter a spiritual life, whether it be through prayer, reading books or through bedtime conversations. You are a provider, and a helper. Thank you for being the Mother that you are and now the Grandmother you are!

To my daughter, the Mother of our grandchild…

In January, you brought us a gift, a joy, a beautiful little girl. You became a Mom! Although it has only been 4 months, I have seen you settle and scuttle though this transition of life. Even in this short amount of time I can tell you are a good Mom. It doesn’t surprise me. If you look at the generations above,  you have been trained well. If you do what these women before you have done, you will be a great Mother.

I am thankful that you all have made a difference in my life and the lives of others, so on this your special day, I pray that you will know how much you are loved and adored. It is also my prayer that the wisdom and knowledge of our family is past on for the generations to come. Love each other as we love the Lord. Be faithful, teach faithfulness.

My love to the Moms!!!
