The Road to Sixty – Day 128
She said thank you…
She’s a little blonde hair 5 year old that come running up to me last night after class shouting “Mr. Jerry! Mr. Jerry!” I turned around, and she said this is for you! She handed me this yellow piece of paper. All I had time for was to kneel down give her a hug and tell her thank you!
I noticed at the top it said simply, Thanks! It was colored by her.
When I got home, I opened it up and there was the message..
Thanks!
Mr. Jerry
And then the drawing at the bottom… the pulpit area where periodically we will bring the little ones up and have a 5 minute lesson with them.
I think she caught my likeness very well!
On the back was the phrase” Thank you for helping me learn about God” then her name was signed.
I was so thankful to receive this…(by the way, I have some more card and letters that I will have stories about in the future) I prayed to God, “please let me be the example they need to see”
I love all my kids and adults, too!
But I need to tell them “thank you!”
Thank you for your honest and pure hearts.
Thank you for your openness and honesty.
Thank you for compassion and love shown, not just to me but to all that are around.
Thank you for loving God and being a part of the church that Jesus built!
Thank you for loving your Elders, Deacons and Ministers.
Thank you for raising your children to love God!
Thank you for bringing others to Him!
My list could go on and on…
Thank you…
Till tomorrow …
